Democrats Play Hardball with Their Own

Why Can’t Republicans?

The Huffington Post reports:

“The White House, aided by Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.), is working hard to crush an amendment being pushed by Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.) to allow for the reimportation of pharmaceutical drugs from Canada, Senate sources tell the Huffington Post.

“As a result, the Senate health care debate has come to a standstill: Carper has placed a "hold" on Dorgan's amendment and in response, Dorgan tells HuffPost, he'll object to any other amendments being considered before he gets a vote on his.”

Democrats know how to play hardball politics even against one of their own.  It is time conservatives demand that Republicans play hardball too and kill the Reid Bill by whatever means possible.

Each Senator has the power to stop this rush to judgment.  Any Senator who refuses to use that power will be complicit; will be responsible for enacting ObamaCare into law.

If the Tea-Party/Grass-Roots movement is for real it will make its bones right now by pledging to throw out of office any Republican Senator who fails to object, obstruct and fight to kill the Reid Bill by any parliamentary means available to them—with no possibility of a commutation of sentence before they next stand for reelection regardless of how they try to atone for their mortal sin between now and then.

Amen brother! What we have now is a distant, tyrannical government that does not care for the needs, wants and desires of the vast majority of the people. They pass laws that do not affect themselves but have devastating impact on the lives of citizens. They raise taxes without regard to their effect on their fellow Americans. For all intents and purposes, the tyranny of King George has been replaced by that of Queen Pelosi and King Reid, with the court jester (nee rubber stamp) Obama. Disgusting. This is NOT why the founding fathers pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor - so that America could slip back into bondage!
